Urzeeba Bhat

Urzeeba lives in Kashmir Valley. She has Masters in Social Work from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. As a trained field researcher and community mobiliser, she has the expertise to work with youth and women groups for their empowerment and leadership in community settings. As part of the Culture and Conflict project, Urzeeba has actively engaged with local community women in Kashmir. She has mobilised them in a group for enhancing their craft skills and improving businesses. She is part of a select group of young people on the International research action project “Project Transcendence, Action and Leadership: Mapping Peace Systems through Youth Dialogue: A Research Project in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, India”.
