Timap for Justice

Simeon Koroma is the founder of Timap for Justice – a community-based organisation in Sierra Leone that provides legal aid and other justice services, including support of communities’ (especially women’s) rights to legally own, access and utilise land. Simeon is a leading advocate of meaningful community involvement in agriculture and mining concession agreements. He spearheaded the campaign for the formal recognition of paralegals and the establishment of a Legal Aid Board in Sierra Leone. He holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh, with research interests in law and (extra)legal methods, (re)production of ‘justice’, and (community) disputing processes.
