Shanya Mohammed
Shanya Saeed holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature and started her career as a mediator and peacebuilding facilitator in IDP and refugee camps around Sulaimany Later, she joined the Center for Gender and Development Studies at the American University with a focus on peacebuilding and mediation, Shanya worked in promotion of spreading peace across diverse communities living in Sulaimani. Her efforts addressed issues related to social cohesion, community living, and the reintegration of women into educational settings. Shanya’s work involves developing the capacity of women through various projects, aiming to make a meaningful impact on their lives and contribute to broader social transformation.
