Ranmini Vithanagama
Ranmini Vithanagama is a senior researcher at the International Centre for Ethnic Studies (ICES), Sri Lanka. Her research interests span internal displacement, women’s labour force participation and other topics related to economic empowerment, internal displacement, and disability-related issues. She has also conducted research related to topics on religious coexistence and social inclusion in Sri Lanka. She holds a BA (Economics) from University of Colombo and a Master’s in Economics also from University of Colombo. She is also an Associate member the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA-UK). She has worked with Oxford Policy Management, World Bank and Asian Development Bank as the country researcher and consultant on various assignments related to her research interests, with a special focus on gender. She is also a freelance financial analyst with a special interest in the banking and telecommunication sectors. She is currently reading for her PhD in Economics at the University of Colombo.
