Melvin Tarawalie
Melvin Tarawalie is a skilled Planning Officer at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in Sierra Leone, with a Master’s degree in Economics from Njala University. He also works as a Research Assistant at Development Decision Support, Research and Consultancy firm, as well as Timap for Justice (NGO), where he showcases strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a dedication to delivering top-notch results in all his projects.
Over the course of his career, Melvin has been actively involved in various consultancy projects, including a cost-benefit analysis aimed at strengthening the tourism sector in Sierra Leone, as well as initiatives focused on land policy, gender justice, and legal pluralism in the country. He has also provided valuable support in the preparation of the SDGs Voluntary National Review Reports for Sierra Leone in both 2019 and 2021. Previously, he served as a program officer at Fambul Tok International, an organization dedicated to promoting peace and reconciliation in communities. Additionally, he has worked as a research assistant on the project “Covid-19 and Women in Transitional Countries: A Comparative Perspective” in Sierra Leone.
