Faryal Arif
Faryal’s background is in design, culture and literature. She holds an MA in Visual Cultures from Durham University. Faryal’s a researcher of cultural practices and crafts. In 2023, she co-developed and led British Council’s Granted project Handspun: Co-Creating Spindle Craft in partnership with Laajverd and Cockpit Studios. Faryal’s research documentary Food and Crafts: Practices of the Neelum Valley, was showcased at the Pakistan Calling Film Festival. During Covid-19 Faryal co-curated an online art exhibition COVENT19, displaying 42 artworks from across 15 countries. Faryal has a teaching portfolio spanning over 10 years. She currently is a visiting faculty at NCA, RWP.
