Dr Tahrat Shahid

Dr Tahrat Shahid is Challenge Leader for Food Systems, as well as leading on promoting gender and intersectionality across all portfolios of the Global Challenges Research Fund. She has over a decade of policy and research experience in a variety of contexts, including Morgan Stanley, Oxford Policy Management, the ONE Campaign, and the World Bank. She is currently writing a book titled ‘Imaginary Lines? Islam and Secularism in the Politics of Family Laws in Bangladesh’ examining the political discourse around Islam, development policy, and women’s rights in Bangladesh.
