Dr Jiyar Aghapouri

Dr. Jiyar Aghapouri is an assistant professor of International Studies at the American University of Kurdistan and a consultant and visiting fellow at London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) where he also conducted his postdoctoral research on Migration and Displacement on the Gender Hub. He obtained his PhD in Politics and International Relations from the University of Auckland, and his research and teaching areas are diaspora, return and labour migration, displacement, media politics, ethnicity, nationalism, online research methodologies, and the international relations of the Middle East.
