Transitional Masculinity, Violence and Prevention

The project investigates the mechanism that construct aggressive and controlling masculinity in conflict-affected environments in order to support the construction of alternative masculinities. The project will develop a range of tools to promote gender sensitivity and alternative masculinities in Kurdistan-Iraq, including training modules for the judiciary and military; short educational films for classroom teaching; creative writing workshops; policy proposals; workshops for activists and academic publications.
