The International Crisis Group is an independent organisation that has worked to prevent warfare and shape policymaking since 1995. It does so by building support for good governance and inclusive politics that enable societies to flourish and liaising directly with a range of conflict actors to encourage effective action towards peace.
The work of the International Crisis Group is increasingly and urgently needed as the world is confronted with a dramatic rise in incidence of armed conflicts that lead to devastating humanitarian, social and economic costs. In this way, the International Crisis Group aspires to be the preeminent source of independent analysis and advice on how to prevent, resolve or better manage conflicts across the world.
Combining experts-led field research and engagement with policymakers across the world, it seeks to drive change in the crisis situations on which international players work.
