Marianna Espinós Blasco

PhD researcher

Transitional Justice Institute (Ulster University)

Marianna has a multidisciplinary profile. Her interests include gender, visual communication, feminism, human rights, and peace and conflict studies. Her doctoral project seeks to investigate the politics of inclusion and exclusion in the field of peace and security by exploring the ways gender and sexuality are represented, silenced and/or contested. To do that, the project examines the Women, Peace, and Security agenda politics of (in)visibility and its contestations. Marianna holds an LL.M in Gender, Conflict and Human Rights (TJI), two academic specialisations related to peace and conflict studies and a bachelor’s degree in Communication. She has also collaborated with grassroots organisations.
